Timor Leste is the youngest and poorest country in Asia and a long-time friend of Australia.
This Rotary Club of Richmond Project reaches out to the children by supplying desperately needed resources to kindergarten teachers as they undertake professional development in Dili. These resources go back to their villages with them, enhancing the educational experience of the village children.

‘Kindy Boxes’ are distributed directly to 50 village kindergarten teachers in Timor Leste.
Each Kindy Box supplies much needed resources. Currently there are four different Kindy Boxes planned: consumables; wooden educational toys; fine motor coordination resources and a handwriting kit in Tetun.
The cost of Kindy Box Sponsorship is either $50 or $100.
The gap between sponsorship and actual cost of the Kindy Box is met by donations-in-kind and our fundraising efforts
