The Elder Abuse Prevention Association (EAPA) is an association of researchers,
practitioners, educators and advocates dedicated to protecting the safety, security and dignity of Australia's most vulnerable citizens. It was established in 2002 to achieve a clearer understanding of abuse and provide direction and leadership to prevent it.
|

Elder abuse can also take the form of financial exploitation, intentional neglect of an older adult by the carer or unintentional abuse due to ignorance of care issues.
